Album Of The Year The Canadian band Protest The Hero already released Kezia in their home country last year; however, only now is it getting worldwide distribution courtesy of a deal with Vagrant Records in USA. Nothing could make me more happy than knowing that this band is slowly achieving wider recognition since, frankly, this is some of the best music I have heard in the last few years. Read more ›› |

Well, "No Stars Over Bethlehem" is the only good song from that album. Generally, the album is more metalcore than progressive, i don't hate metalcore, but as a progressive metal album i prefer "Volition" and "Fortress".

This album is incredible from start to finish. Do not understand the low ratings, especially with praise towards Fortress (also a perfect album) as I consider them quite sonically similar. The quirky, progressive blend of metal/core with Rody's soaring vocals and frantic song structure is so fresh every time I listen, and the songs are so memorable that I still belt out all of the lyrics a decade after my first listen. Blindfolds Aside, No Stars, Heretics And Killers, Bury The Hatchet, The Divine Suicide of K. all 11/10 tracks. Easily a 10/10 for me. Unfortunately my CD is starting to skip
