Wow, Wow WOW

I've heard this band mentioned many times before, but I never had the chance to listen their music, until this Cd came into my hands, and now I can't find enough words to praise this little masterpiece, filled with ambiguity, aggression, and many influences from several sources.

The Project Hate MCMXCIX counts with the top players of the Swedish Metal scene, naming all the bands is rather unnecessary at this point, so do your own research and stop buggin' me out.

This album (fifth so far) is a brew of all kinds, here you'll creepy atmospheres, classical piano, electronics (such as Drum n' Bass), female vocals, growls, awesome arrangements, pretty avant-garde stuff. Songs are quite lengthy clocking around eight minutes each, and the most impressive thing is that they manage to maintain fresh and interesting and with every turn each song takes you'll find yourself thinking "is this another track, or is the same one?"

The elements have the perfect presence in the mix, electronics are present but the band doesn't overdo it, female vocals are fantastic, they don't sound Gothic at all, they're powerful yet full of life, keyboards are also a big asset of the band, whether they're playing eerie atmospheres or classic piano lines, they add so much to the music.

In case you wandered, the musical base of the album is Death Metal, but is very difficult to classify as Death Metal only, The Project Hate MCMXCIX is a band that pushes boundaries with the creativity injected into their themes.
Listen to tracks like "At The Entrance To Hell's Unholy Fire", "The Bleeding Eyes Of A Breeding Whore" or the energetic "Symphony Of The Deceived" and you'll know what I'm talking about.

What a great entry to my list of the best albums of 2005, totally worth of your time, if you call yourself a Death Metal fan, get this immediately.
