And here's the second part of the opera. This one is a lot better in my opinion. Most notably it has much more variation. And a really, really, really really seriously awesome and amazing opening track. The Seven Angels is an epic masterpiece spanning fourteen minutes and featuring seven of the eleven vocalists. Plus two choirs and some solos. Great song, nothing more to say about it.

There are some albums that are simply greater than others and this one belongs in the first category. For me personally, the release of Avantasia II could not have come at a better time. Avantasia changed my life [in a very sweet way] and Avantasia II was to set everything in stone...

The album begins with a wonderful overture that contains several different choruses, rhythm changes, and atmospheres and introduces almost all of the Avantasia II cast. Like on Avantasia I, Tobi tells the story of Gabriel the Monk not simply through dialogues and monologues but leaves a lot of the story-telling to the music itself. For instance, on track 9 ['Memory'] you will know from the first note that this song deals with the bad guys and you can just feel the pain and anguish conveyed on track 5 ['The Final Sacrifice']. To fully comprehend the [rather complex] story, the best way, of course, is to take the booklet and read along as the story unfolds.

Nice but very overrated album. Liked above all Seven Angels, No Return, The Looking Glass, The Final Sacrifice, CHALICE OF AGONY & Memory (dat Zdiarstek voice! ^_^ ). The other ones also are nice, but those i mentioned are the best ones.

One killer song out of the wine, out of the chalice of agony, introduce me whit this band and maybe I would say PM, since old Blind Guardian was speed. Here we here some HM riffs heavy riffs in some songs, some songs are cool but its on ending part of album. I like this one

Better than the first one in pretty much every way. The songs are more diversified and the guest singers are used more effectively

Over the years, we got many Avantasia albums with many quite good songs, but overall there was nothing even close to the spirit and greatness of the first two Metal Operas.

The better half, more mature and diverse then the pretty basic and boring first album. "The Seven Angels" is a fantastic track that rivals the many excellent songs to come.
