It's strange, a band does something to make you love them, then they go and do the exact opposite with the next release, and yet it sounds just as great, if not better. That's right ladies and gentlemen, your favourite hardcore band is back for what feels essentially like a rejuvenated re-working of their last album, Bears, Mayors, Scraps & Bones.

Just more of the same basically. I'm not discounting the fact that 'Rats', the title track and 'The void' all play a vital part in keeping the band's sound fresh and alive, but you can't ignore the fact that they've been sticking to the same sound since their first album. It's nothing bad, but it doesn't really open them up to new fans either. 'The void' is inf act the only song on the album that seems to deviate from the aggressive, punk-fuelled nature of every other song. On this song there is a slight sludge metal influence with the guitars, but even then you come to expect the same. Like I said, for die-hard fans of the band or even Hardcore Punk, this is probably Gold Dust. For those expecting a bit of variety, you may as well give this a miss.
