2012 - My List

Thumbs up: +3
These are the albums that have been burning a hole in my iPod this past year. I have really only created this list so that I can keep track of the albums I have enjoyed in 2012, but if you have any suggestions feel free it send them my way.

The albums with stars (*) next to their ratings, are albums that I am still currently listening to.

Disclaimer: I haven't approached this like other list-makers on this site - who seem to have a 'lets-listen-to-every-album-released' attitude, instead I am working slowly through albums which catch my eye.

If you like Wildernessking I'd recommend their full length if you haven't given it a go already.

Awesome man, I am still planning to get round to it. South Africa is not a place usually associated with metal, however recently there have been a few awesome bands breaking through. If you are interested, check out the band Strage on bandcamp, they have really impressed me this year.

I have never actually heard of Horseback, what do they sound like? I may check them out, thanks for the recommendation.

Horseback are a great band, the Half Blood record was slightly disappointing though. They were best on this record:

Off the top of my head I can't remember hearing any other band from SA. And instrumental sludge you say? Sounds very interesting, I'll give them a try, thanks!

Thanks for the Strage rec, even if it wasn't directed at me. Digging this stuff! Definetely added to my own list, pending a review.
