Septic Flesh were formed back in 1990 by the two Antoniou brothers, Spyros (bass guitar/vocals) and Chris (guitars) and they were playing death metal. Then came Sotiris that added a strange lyricism and melody to the band and all together they started forming the sound Septic Flesh, a sound filled with aggressive moments but without losing in melody, emotion and dark/mystic atmosphere. From the very beginning Sotiris was the main figure behind the lyrics (and most of the music) of Septic Flesh since he was concerned around magic and occult writings. Read more ›› |

A very fine debut album, if I may say so. A bit too rough at many times, but still pleasant for the ears.

A brilliant debut that possesses a truly dark and magic atmosphere. Probably among the very best of atmospheric death metal.

Beautiful death metal album full of emotion, the clear gothic influence makes this something special. I wish the Hellenic scene was bigger. I don't get how Communion can be considered their best when this exists.

Aw yeah this is easily my favorite work of theirs from the first boxset. I wished it had a production like the Temple Of The Lost Race EP which felt just a little bit fuller but overall this is an excellent release. Love the mix of different styles here the gothic/doom approaches to the death metal songs add to the mysterious atmosphere.
