The Wanderer is a sophomore album that follows a "take notice" debut, 2010's Secrets. I am happy to say that this is a beautiful improvement; the band continued forward and in two years produced something far exceeding their first work.

Yet another album proclaiming LOUDLY that symphonic metal is not dead.

So forgettable and dull. This band tries the best it can, but nonetheless only provides music with short-term expiration. There is nothing special about the sound, nothing you could call a "Diabulus-in-Musica-element" and that's just too bad considering the competition the gothic/symphonic genre experiences nowadays.

I love how bright the orchestrations are on this album. The contrast with the metal is awesome! The only track I dislike is Shadow of the Throne. The vocals are pretty cringeworthy on that one.

Their follow-up album Argia may have been "better" but this is still my favorite. It's aging very nicely; still so enjoyable! Such a solid band.
