Who are Ghost B.C. and what makes their music so appealing? To be honest, when I heard their debut album I didn't think much of these questions. All I thought was that the dark aura of Mercyful Fate around their thinly concealed heart nabbed from Blue Oyster Cult tunes like "Nosferatu" was decades too late. Listening now to their second effort Infestissumam is like having a conversation with the misunderstood Casper the friendly ghost, if he were the head of a Satanic cult. Their sound is actually readily accessible, as it turns out, and completely inoffensive, if you aren't deterred by the devil fixation.

For me I like this one just as much the debut, it's a pretty decent album, with the same original sound they used for their debut, and it's equal in songwriting too imo, both have their fair share of ok ish songs, good songs, and a few stand outs, "Year Zero" being the main stand out on this for me.

I've got to admire them though, for I've never known a band to write such blasphemous, satanic lyrics, whilst playing a 60's/70's psychedelia influenced hard rock sound, it's like listening to Vanilla Fudge, Iron Butterfly or Blue Öyster Cult using satanic themes, well it's very entertaining, and they do it very well.

Although I admit I found this to be slightly cringy at first, with me being used to King Diamond performances, which in a way are theoretically similar, except his music, particularly with Mercyful Fate is alot heavier.

A drop in quality compared to the debut which was much more enjoyable for me and had better song-writing IMO.
