German power metallers Mystic Prophecy have announced that they are gearing up to start recording a new opus, their 8th full-length album already, in the beginning of 2013.

The band states: "Hey MP fans, after a successful tour in spring, the summer festivals and a trip to the famous ProgPower USA the time has come for the Hammer of Metal to strike again. We're going to enter the Prophecy & Music Factory Studios at the beginning of 2013 to forge a new masterpiece. Title and release date are still our secret, but the wait is almost over.

With Christmas being around we'd like to thank all our amazing fans again for their continuous support, without you this band wouldn't exist. So, beware... the Metal Hounds of Hell will be unleashed again soon. A very Metal Christmas and a rockin' New Year! See you again in 2013 on the road."
