Posts: 421 Written by [user id=17278] on 28.04.2015 at 10:24 Maybe it depends on your definition of "cheesy" - it's a label I tend to slap on any '80s rock that's so middle-of-the-road, it sounds like it could've been done by any one of a dozen bands. "Magic" was the clincher. This certainly isn't a bad album - I rather like "I Surrender", even though it is basically a three-minute chorus with a guitar solo - but you just know Blackmore is holding so much back.

I might even say this is a good album. It has some great melodies and the neo-classical feel shines here...

Growing older and I actually start like it , weird isn't it songs stands out are: 1, 2, 6 and 7. Can be bets of commercial eras ? Joe Lynn Turner and Graham Baret are strong vocalists, I wish they would re cord something more metal to remmeber

Joe Lynn Turner has never been a favourite of mine but he has been part of so much greatness that I have a lot of respect for the guy. The songs here are okey for the most part but I think it would have been better with Graham on vocals. The AOR approach isn't really Blackmore strong side. Spotlight KId is by far the best song here.
