I dunno about this sort of music. Along with Animals As Leaders, I can feel the cockiness all throughout this type of music. It's funny tho, I never have that feeling when listening to instrumental post rock/metal. Maybe it's the guitar solos lol.

I am so disagreeing on this. They are really technical and everything, but the melodies, music and feeling are there. I am not a fan of tech death for example, because for me it's more show off than music. But this is pure, genious songwriting, really enjoying it!

I just listened to a sample and it was fantastic. Can't believe I did not know about this band before.

"Atlas Novus" is one of the best songs I've heard this year!

I really loved this album and I never really thought such kind of music would come from India. Even though I liked it the thing which I personally believe is that music just adds colors to a song whereas the vocals give life to a song. After all who would fall into love with a lifeless body... but hats off to this unique concept and I really loved it.:D

... And again we both disagree with the general praise (as with Haken). I listened to this one since it was nominated in the Awards, but I have to say, this music does absolutely nothing to me. I would describe it as static compositions with lots of sweeping guitars, but no real heaviness or quikiness or licks or anything that would make at least one song really stand out. Well, at least that's the impression after the first listen...

Yup Ktulu, this instrumental prog wankery isn't for everyone. I've given this sort of stuff a lot of chances but it doesn't reverberate with me. I just feel it's a form of "showing off", technical jumbo that screams "listen, I can play my instrument really well!".
