I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting much from this album. I've not been exactly high on James LaBrie's solo stuff, nor have I been much satisfied with Dream Theater for that matter, but that's another story. So, I approached Impermanent Resonance with enough bias to confirm my doubts and thus it didn't disappoint me, if I can express it like this. ERGHHHH besides 4 tracks, I find this album highly boring. Totes not what I expected after the earlier two albums.

I prefer the mid paced and slower songs on this one, like "Lost In The Fire" "Back On The Ground" & "Say You're Still Mine". The bonus track "Unraveling" is great as well. It is an enjoyable listen and his vocals fit more his solo work than DT, still not as good as "Elements Of Persuasion".
