For those of you who managed to completely miss out on TOAD's 2011 debut album...EP...thing, let's do an episode recap - in essence, you missed out on a royal rumble in an inflatable pool filled with KY Jelly and kittie litter. One of those parties that seems legendary in the moment, but in retrospect tends to blend in with a few dozen other pleasant memories.

Entire album streaming at bandcamp. I really like it, probably better than their debut which I already enjoyed.

All I remember from the debut is that it sounded like Devil Chamber / Coal Driver rather than the sludge metal it promised to be.

This sounds sludgy enough for me. It has some very interesting sounds. That second track is something else.

I just realised I'm thinking of Hail ! Hornet, not TOAD. Both were review by Doc Godin. TOAD failed to live up to Doc's super-disgusting description and ended up being sludge-lite.

The suckerpunch you get from the opener is amazing.
