Anubis Gate have been working on their next effort called Horizons for the last two years. The plan was to release it this year, but the band will not meet that deadline. When Anubis Gate recorded Horizons, there were three songs that they didn't know what to do with. A different version of the song "Destined To Remember", a cover of the Pink Floyd track "Sheep" and a cover of "Broken Wings", originally by Mr. Mister. So, while you are waiting patiently until early 2014 for the new album to be released, you can now download this 22-minute EP called Sheep over here.

They have been working on it for the past 2 years? Why did they rush up working on the next record just after the self-titled was released?

I think it's normal for bands to start working on new material. It depends, I guess it's a matter of inspiration or ideas they might have.

Anubis Gate is awesome, and this EP is no different. "Destined to Remember" is a bit more prog than their past stuff, and sounds great, the Floyd cover is just amazing, and they actually gave that old Mr. Mister song some much needed heaviness and soul...really looking forward to the new album.
