Yes, it's weird. Heard "My captain" on some compilation years ago and kind of liked its' atmosphere. Bought the album hoping it contained more of this kind... ...big mistake.

Odd album for sure but I think their songwriting skills are so interesting and charming. It's not something I would hear too often but it is quite an adventure, specially if you want to try out some unique symphonic black metal. The vocals can be hit or miss though. I understand if the dramatic tone might be too much for some.

To be fair I didn't like this one either. By them I like Mantras the most. But it is a really weird album, not sure if you'd like it.
