Which idiot said folk metal was on the decline?
Why isn't there a cd release of this, anyway?

Roots is seriously one of the best songs I've heard. The way it ends takes my breath away every damn time I hear it.

For me, Roots and Aura lie on same level except Aura's second half was bit repetitive. Whereas in Aura, the sound of Saor was introduced. So, people will go for this no matter how good second album is or would have shaped.

No wonder Aura gallops huge amount of ballots in MS Awards '14.

I feel like, even though this album is great, is the worst one. In both "Aura" and "Guardians" there are these big climatic moments (usually with folk instruments) that lend itself to the style of Saor. I got into Saor because I heard "Aura" and was blown away. I feel like "Roots" almost gets there, and there are moments when I feel like it's going to just explode, but it never does. This album is great, but I feel like Saor really finds it's voice with "Aura" and continues it with "Guardians". Favorite track: A Highland Lament

Very solid release. i prefer this to Aura. great riffs, the folk instruments are on the place and the drums are also very good. and the growls wowowowowowowow top!!! talk about atmospheric death , per ex. the one that explodes on "Carved in Stone", massive!!

This album plus an edible just puts you into an absolute trance. It’s everything ABM should be. It burns you to your core and your ashes scatter to the wind.
