I love Lunn's take on the Black Metal sound, I'm just still wishing for a true watershed album where he really goes above and beyond his usual consistence and pulls all the stops. Chase the Grain was one of the best tracks I've ever heard from him, here's hoping the rest of the album follows suit.

Quite the mesmerizing album. Probably their best yet.

Also: the lists section up there looks kind of hilarious how they all start with the same thing.

Summed up by J.O.O.E nicely, i loved this record, but this is the first i've of them, so keen to check their earlier releases. But Sounds like This "country" sound is unique to this record mainly.

Its long but the guitar signatures change about nicely without getting too long and still has that cold atmo BM feel to it..

Whoa, no shit. I agree. That 3rd track reminds me a bit of Deadwood's intro, although it's played way faster. Just the style I guess.

Yeah, pretty great stuff, this album.

Deadwood...great show. Last season was a little weak though. Ian McShane earned his place among some of the best screen villains ever.

Deadwood is my favourite show ever, and I've seen loads of shows, so naturally I disagree with the last season being weaker (list is not up-to-date though). To me they're all equally excellent. However, the first time I watched the whole series I thought the same as you, but the 2nd time I watched it I liked it way more. Yeah, Ian McShane really is perfect to play Al Swearengen. He did an absolutely brilliant job. But then again, most of the actors were brilliant in their roles.

I really like the country/bluegrass bits, but the black parts are rather dull and monotones.

I like reviewing new albums from bands I know that I like but don't listen to often, gives me a chance to revisit their catalogue and remind myself how good they actually are. I'd forgotten how wonderful some moments on this are - this particularly applies to Where Mountains Pierce The Sky, The Long Road Part 2 and Chase The Grain
