Threshold - For The Journey

Even more excited and anxious now...for the journey Threshold! \m/

Sadly, but weaker than March of Progress, which was amazing. The only song that gave chills similar to previous release was "The Mystery Show". Overall it's not a bad release, but when you know what these guys can do, you expect much more. Now lets hope that Headspace will keep their level.

Oh man. This album was pretty awesome! Don't know if it can surpass March of Progress, but time will tell. Love "The Box" and "Lost in Your Memory" and the overall atmosphere of the album is great!

This is just fantastic. A tiny bit weaker than MoP, but still amazing.

In terms of the quality you can expect from Threshold, many of the songs are average, with a couple being pretty good. That said, The Box might be the best song they've ever done.

I think my main gripe is that it's their shortest album yet. I like my Thresh albums long and March of Progress certainly delivered in that respect.

I'm optimistic about it though - this one's going to be a grower, methinks. March of Progress was the kind of album I played over and over once I got it, but this one might get better as time goes by.

By the way, "The Box" is a phenomenal song. And i must say this is one of the best CD´s of Threshold in terms of Choruses. Really well made and catchy!

Siren Sky and The Box....

So happy this band will keep on going, and going, and going !

I'm hearing a lot of influences on this album, from the AOR style of "Lost in your Memory" to the much heavier, more aggressive likes of "Turned to Dust". There's even a bit of neo-prog in the same vein of IQ in "Autumn Red", but I think that Threshold's musical talent is best shown through the eye-opening "The Box", and to a slightly lesser degree on the lovely "Siren Sky". The problem is that to me these two songs seem to render the others less memorable and somewhat weaker in terms of quality and ambition, but it's not a particularly big problem given that the album is very consistent in general. Perhaps not one of the best prog metal albums of 2014, but certainly one of the year's finer releases.

Exactly how I feel about the album. Whenever I want to listen to new Threshold, I always go straight for The Box instead of any of the other songs.

I tried to get into this album but I just couldn't for some reason, the first couple of songs were decent though.

Threshold never disapoints
