The band comments: "We are sad to announce that our long-time singer Kreigtalith has left the band. This decision was mutual and didn't involve any kind of quarrel. We would like to thank Kriegtalith sincerely for all the wild but fruitful years in Darkestrah. We also must announce that against all odds we will continue our journey as Darkestrah!"
Statement regarding the confirmation of the new vocalist: "Ever since Kriegtalith has left the band we were busy searching for a worthy replacement. Today we are glad to announce that our search is over! The name of our new singer is Merkith. We are already rehearsing extensively and hope to present the renewed Darkestrah live as soon as possible."
