If you're a serious follower of this style, you know the usual. The project of Jacob Buczarski, Mare Cognitum is raw and hard hitting black metal, but also interspersed with all those beautiful, melodic, and dreamy undercurrents that we all know and love and that've come to make this style so goddamn good when it's executed right. Highly recommended for fans of Chaos Moon, Spectral Lore, Sombres Forêts, etc. And shoutout to my buddy Fearmeister for turning me onto all the great stuff on I, Voidhanger's current roster, definitely a label worth investigating.

Initially I also said that this year sucks, but definitely not anymore. Especially for BM it's a great year.

It's damn impressive album with very powerful composing ! I have no idea why it's reminding me of Agalloch's vocals and atmosphere at some moments. The highlight track is Noumenon in my opinion. Thanks to Erik for suggesting it to me.

Great, beautiful black metal. This type of sound can be boring when it's not done right but that is not the case with Phobos Monolith. Highly enjoyable.

Good old school atmosphere, energy, forward driven rapids whit good music, energetic vocal parts, then comes long instrumental parts. Killer.
