Just listened to "Temple to the Art God" and, boy, am I disappointed. After this song and "Celestial Nature" I feel my heart will be broken by my favorite death metal band...

Stream: beep beep

I make it my policy never to listen to bands whose members only consist of the shades black and white so will rely on other people to tell me how it sounds at this point.

Songs 4, 9 and 10 are the only ones i'm ever gonna come back to sadly

Might just not bother then and wait for the new The Faceless album...

First impressions for me on this one are pretty good. The middle of the album has a few tracks that sound really disjointed and all over the place, but there's some stuff I'm instantly in love with on either end. Production is great this time around, too.

Oh yeah, Inner Alchemy kicks some serious fucking ass. Just thought I'd mention that.

You wouldn't like it I think. There's a considerable amount of senseless wankery spread throughout. That said, there are plenty of absolutely killer moments from a prog perspective.

The technical ability is clearly still there, I just cannot get into these songs. I like bits and pieces of every one, but nothing really brings them together in a memorable way.

Just finished my first listen, and with the exceptin of 4 songs I don't even remember anything. It doesn't stick.

And yet, here I am thinking this is probably the best thing that came out this year. So far I'm liking every track on the record.

Been loving this album... Gorod's sound has been evolving since their first release, and in my opinion they just keep getting better. A Maze of Recycled Creeds is a testament to that.

Well, it's techy...what do you expect It's hard to combine memorability with technicality.

I'm not generally into tech-death and haven't listened to Gorod previously, but this album slays. Definitely going to go be back through this band's discog.

Finally cracked this one open after picking it up a few weeks back. It's pretty good, but no individual song has jumped out at me yet like on the previous albums.

Jazzy death metal of the year still goes to the Sickening Horror though, and aside from the soloing I can't find much this album does better. The Sickening Horror is more memorable and the songs stand apart much better and are more cohesive
