Only heard the opening track, the 17-minute beast, and it sounds to me like pure WITTR/Weakling worship with the occasional Pallbearer-ian clean vocals. Nothing sludgy or even crusty about it at all. Maybe other songs will contain those styles, we'll see.

Well, so far, so good

The clean vocal parts in the 1st song remind me of someone, but I can't think who. Warning/40 Watt Sun, maybe? Agalloch?
Other parts sound like A Forest Of Stars.

These guys are much better on album than live... They were quite boring and uninspiring on stage but on album it's a whole different story. Not wow-worthy but still pretty good black/doom/whatever on this album. The comparison with WITTR is correct although the injection of melody and viola add for a voice of their own.

If someone would want a recommendation of how metal sounded in the USA the last 10- 15 years this album does serve as a walkthrough of the different styles thats become popular - cascadian bm drums, folky interludes, violined sludge, atmo tremolos and ofc some pallbearer vocals. And I guess its okayish done but tbh its all become very generic.
