Broken Dagger is a young band from Sweden which plays a very good Melodic Power metal. Some months ago I did the review of one another young band from Sweden "Silent Scythe" and I remember that I said that the best will certainly come due to their great talent. I was not wrong? Well when I listen this "Madness Aproaching" I have exactly the same feeling, there is something with this band? be sure that a great thing will come for this band. This demo is a great one and for sure we will hear about Broken Dagger in the metal scene very soon?

This album is very well done. For a demo it's quite surprising how it's professional. First the artwork of the cover is a real good one; and the production for a demo of course is good.
Musically speaking, I find this album very good due to one thing. The tracks even if it's an album of Power, can be dark and some time it's not very far of Melodeath metal.
It's a good point because you know like me that there is a ton of new Power metal bands each days actually, and well with that Broken Dagger are at least more original than 95% of all this bands.
A lot of tracks are very well done like the two powerful "By Blood & Right" or "Chains Of Insanity" or the nice ballad "Path Of Nevermore" which can be hit for sure.
We have good composition, with good technical and good lyrics. How about the guys of the bands? Well the musicians are all goods too, no doubt on it and the voice of Niklas is also a very good one. No really this is more than a promising band.

Well there is however a little problem for me but, you know that too, it's THE problem with a lot of demo: the sound. Effectively, the sound of this album is not very good. And they don't deserve it? At the opposite let me say that with a real good sound believe me that this album could only be like a big kick in your ass. Really, I want to listen to "Madness Approaching"with a good professional sound because I'm sure that in that case, it could be a real killer.

Anyway as I said in my introduction I really feel something good in the music of the band and well again I will put some money on a band from Sweden. I don't take a lot of risk that's true, but well I believe in them and I'm sure that soon we will hear about Broken Dagger.
A real good album for sure we must keep an eye on this band?
