Rage - The Devil Strikes Again

Will listen to this as soon as possible. RAGE never stop to keep rocking ! The only heavy metal band I still listen to and seeing them so happy to play live makes me believe they won't stop before long !

I didn't know they were even working on a new one, nevermind being out!

Hmm all the tracks I have listened to so far are forgettable... I miss the something special that was part of "21". Does it mean that RAGE cannot make it without the genius of Victor ?

This work is decent again! you will easily notice the different vibe, the guitar parts are no more unique (well, maestro Smolski's out, what can we do with it...), but the power melodies are still present. I would say the sound is similar to the sound of early 90s albums. another era has ended, let's enjoy the new one!

Pretty disappointing especially from the "21" which sounds amazing. This new record consist of influences drag down from their own material, stacked into one shelve, mixes it and out "The Devil Strikes Again". Same old riffs, structure, drumming and overuse of typical-flow of Rage which we were through with older material.

I don't get this band well if you listen a-z album from 1th to last I dunno it would be boring, but this not 10 worth but not smash category either , I dunno how band playing same can survive so long and same time actually live from the music.

Seems that Rage have found their new creative juice again, most of the songs are awesome on this album, their sound is different from the time Smolski was with them, but to be honest I think what happened was for the best, plus I wasn't really a fan of Smolski's virtuosism.

A matter of tastes, my friend. Surely there is so many people (include me) who enjoys EVERY ONE of their albums

You know, I look at this one in a really different way. I consider it a really explosive and more harsh expression of their heaviest side. They went and developed this direction as Marcos was the guitar player. Actually they seem to point again alternating between both their heaviest and their most symphonic heads of the coin.
