So 2016 is over , I don't make it in order, I am to lazy, and have no time, but every album was played 3 times or ore + 500 and even more albums what was older as 2016... so it was richful year. maybe Marcel and Pim can beat me up here.
Most bands delivered +/- in their level waht we can expected but there was also let downs and surprises. I did commented every album so feel free read it.

Let downs(not in order):
Negura Bunget - this band is boring, you need be Romania to get it
Mother Witch & Dead Water Ghosts - nothing special
Rage - I don't see anything here anymore
Anvil - sux
Beseech - to be a true goth you should not grow old and get married
Blaze - Talented singer, but music and lyrics must be written men in 25-30 not older, otherwise don't work, he lost somewhere something from his capibilities
Heaven Grey - Album was week IMO
Destruction - Same, never get this band, seems its fan boyism, girlism

Surprises(not in order):
Ordog - Nice one, nice doom, I never thought it will be out, but then chicj chat, int whit Alexi and I knew it will be OK,. great doom
Spiritus Mortis - another good doom
The Vision Bleak - nice one
Trees Of Eternity - a loss of talented singer
Wayfarer - not good as older but still
When Nothing Remains - nice one
Winterfylleth - good ABM from UK
Attick Demons - awesome maiden rip off, like new young maiden , pure heavy metal.
Ereb Altor - awesome, always awesome
Cardinals Folly - nice doom, I don't acre what others say how big RB wannies they are
Lord Vicar - always delivers doom
Megadeth - surprise, it has powerful 4-5 songs, and some decent album, better as old farts usually make
Metallica - back to garage back to street, back to punk, has few songs what make it happen
Civil War - nice one, tombstone is a bit different song , he did his homework, lyrically

all those bands stands higher and was surprise and put good records, better as I expected

You said you dind't make it in order but it's all in alphabetical order except that starting in N and then turning back to A after past Z and ending on N again.
