I would love Vektor's thrash metal. Perhaps one of the reasons is the singing of David DiSanto, like the great Chuck Schuldiner's. But without considering this resemblance and the inspiration that Death's style had on Vektor, the adventure of these Arizona metalheads is interesting to me. From the first album, entitled Black Future, I was attracted to them; but five years doesn't seem like a bad time for the flying saucer known as Vektor to fly towards its third manifesto. If you think the main reason for the darkness of space is the non-reflectivity of light, it is necessary to travel to space with the octopus of Vektor; if you think the void needs to charge and recharge, it's necessary to listen to the tenth track. It seems Vektor traveled to space to see the astrological signs and the conclusion of our planet Earth, a conclusion, of course, of a void-world that made itself and charged up, but at last, there was no choice but to recharge/discharge it.

Not my usual genre or style, but the spectacular closing and opening songs make the listen more than worthwhile.

I didn't mind the riff-sandwich, but this album feels waaaaay too long. The songs start to blend together closer to the end.

Thrash metal album: Definitive Edition

Too much riffs, too long, too complicated... Forget it! This is how it shoud be, take it or leave it. From into your face start in epic Charging The Void, across the fast paced riff monster LCD, to bouncy and catchy Ultimate Artificer, right inside those beautiful guitar driven parts in Pillars of Sand (and that bass line!), dramatic and marvelous dreamy Collapse and with most epic stop in Recharging the Void, it's all great. Terminal Redux belongs into Hall of Fame.

I'm glad people have warmed up to this. One of the best thrash albums of all time, and one of my favorite metal albums of all time

One of the best concerts I saw last year in Bilbao. There were few people there, but they gave themselves throughout the concert.
I have his three works and I think all of them are very good. His music transports me to another dimension. It sounds magical to me.
Yes, you can see his taste for Voivod, a group that I also like and have seen live, but the evolution of Vektor seems even better to me.
I want more Vektor!!

Recharging the Void might be, imho, the greatest thrash song ever written. It's so good that I sometimes feel guilty for being able to so easily and casually listen to such greatness, like it should be harder to get to, locked away. Oh the rest of the album kicks ass too.

It’s better than Black Future. First three songs start it off strong, Pillars of Sand is great, and the final two songs are perfect.

Not only is it the best thrash album I have heard, it is arguably one of the best written albums ever in my books. All power to Vektor, your songwriting is the epitome of metal.
