It seems from its MS rating that this album is one of the most underappreciated in Skyclad discography. Why that is is beyond my understanding. In my opinion, it has all the juicy ingredients: a nearly perfect mixture of folk melodies and heavy guitar-driven metal sound, the lyrics of Martin Walkyier that seem to be his wittiest ever, great production, beautiful artwork of Duncan Storr... Really, it's a shame that Martin and the band separated their ways after this record.

I liked vintage whine , Darskide says The Answer Machine? ids their best, I say those 2 are between this, because this is excellent flok metal album , no othe rgenre influences, no folk music but pure folk metal. It starts strong 1-2 are killers, but rest of album is awesomeas well. Strong piece

It took me almost ten years to notice the pun in Think Back and Lie of England. (Well, I didn't actually think of the song for most of that time, but anyhow.)

Whenever I write something funny, weird, or pretentious... I learned English by playing Baldur's Gate, okay?
