Battleroar - Age Of Chaos

This is what Manowar would sound like if they actually would put some effort into songwriting instead of just clowning around. Battleroar's power metal is an epic landscape where both Conan the Barbarian and Lord of the Rings fits perfectly. The production is very smooth and gives a somewhat dreamy atmosphere which is really excellent. Dyvim Tvar, Sword of Crom and Tower Of The Elephant are true power metal classics.

EDIT: I've returned once again to this album and after 3 more listens i'm pretty confident about giving it the highest rating. This is one of the best power metal releases ever.

Pretty enjoyable music, however I don't find all these songs to be very memorable. The one that I have listened plenty o times is "Calm Before The Storm", which really stand many listens and remains interesting. Definitely the album is worth checking out, and for Manilla Road fans the first track should be a must hear
