The Sword - To Release Acoustic Album


Following 9 months of touring in support of their latest record, High Country, The Sword have returned to the studio to experiment with a stripped down acoustic presentation of the High Country songs. The result, produced by Bryan Richie and mixed by J. Robbins, is Low Country which will see a worldwide release on September 23rd. The album features cover art by Richey Beckett, available below. To support Low Country, the band will be heading out as direct support for the Opeth tour from September 29-October 26. Bracketing the Opeth tour will be 10 headline shows. The first leg, September 23-28 will feature Ruby The Hatchet as support. The second leg, October 28th through November 1st will feature C Average as support.

Is anyone else super disappointed with The Sword? They were my favorite band back in high school. I ADORE their first 3 albums.

Apocryphon was pretty good, but High Country sounds like a lame Lynyrd Skynyrd cover band. They've really fallen off for me.
