Two masters of the eighties Hard Rock scene combined efforts, and the result was Brides Of Destruction, a post-modern Hard Rock band with an attitude.
The people I'm talking about is no one less than Nikki Sixx of Mötley Crüe and Tracii Guns of L.A.Guns, of course.
London LeGrand and Scot Coogan complete the line up, but those are names I've never heard before in my life.

So, what's up with this band? First of all, if you think this is a pussy ass band, you're terrible mistaken, BoD ensures you a cheese-free record, because and like I've said before, this is Hard Rock with attitude!

The foundations of the record are Hard Rock, Punk, Alternative Rock and a hint of Metal, the result is a energetic record full of memorable and catchy tunes.
Things get started with "Shut The Fuck Up" a aggressive Hard Rock song with a Punk approach on it, next is one of my favorite songs in the album, "I Don't Care" is a song with great guitars, a great chorus and overall ass-kickin' attitude, the word SINGLE is etched all over this baby.
"I Got A Gun" and "2 Times Dead" are 2 killer songs while "Brace Yourself" got more nineties influences In it.
"Natural Born Killers" is a classic Hard Rock song, mellow and catchy, sadly, the chorus can get annoying. "Life" is another attempt of the band to explore more modern sounds, catchy? Yes, It was necessary? I don't think so. The album ends with the nice mandatory ballad, "Only Get So Far", London tries to sing "romantic" here, if I was him, I would stick to the aggressive vocals.

So, the bottom line is that this record is damn enjoyable, maybe the cover art sucks big time, but the music really compensate for that. For some ass-kickin´ Hard Rock tunes with attitude, check out Brides Of Destruction, you won't be disappointed.

This is one of those albums that seems flawless at first, but after listening to it time and time again you realise how uninsprired alot the songs are, overall a good album but I would expect alot more from Nikki.
