Thanks a lot, all of you! I had a really great time taking these pictures and I am thrilled how they turned out! It was an amazing festival and I am glad I have these really cool pictures to remember it all with. When you are down there in the photo-pit you notice things you never did before when watching a band - things like being right underneath Atilla of Mayhem when he is screaming his throat out, you see him shaking as he is screaming as hard as he can into the microphone. You can see the effort the bands put in so much more when you are up close there. Also you turn around and you see a packed row of people being squashed against the barrier not caring that they are being squashed to death - just over the moon that they are so close to their favourite bands.. I am glad of the experience and of course hope to be there doing all this again next year. Of course a nice big, full review of the festival is coming up as well.

Great pictures man. Looking at them this whole concert should be subtitled "We hate Jesus...except for Helloween...go figure...but then again Kai isn't with them anymore so maybe they do hate Jesus."

Posts: 13287 Written by Dane Train on 04.07.2008 at 19:15 Most of the members of Helloween are Christian, Michael Weikath especially has strong religious beliefs. As we entered the gates, there was a big sign that said "Welcome To Hell" though.. which was nice and fitting for Venom anyway..

Hi Baz! You took some veryyyy good pics! And it's nice to read your feeling about taking those, I completely agree with you. I consider myself to be so lucky to have had this perfect occasion to begin to take concert pics. See you there next year, right into the pit of HELL
