This has to be one of the weirdest band names I've heard this year, Unhealthy Dreams? what is that supposed to mean? Anyway, band name and Cd artwork is the only uncommon around here, because these guys aren't playing anything new, just your average blasphemous symphonic Black Metal, of course with the unavoidable corpse-painted-spike-clothed band members.
But there's one thing to be drawn here, maybe this guys bring nothing new to the overcrowded Black Metal scene, but that doesn't mean that they suck or anything, as a matter of fact I'm not the biggest fan of Black Metal, but I enjoyed this one, and let me tell you why, is simple. The keyboards.
The keyboard approach in this album is great, is not your average atmospheric sounds in the background, or your violin samples accompanying the riffing , the keyboardist mostly play classical piano scales, and they blend perfectly with the music, giving a melancholic touch to the overall aggressive attitude, all of this supported by great riffing all through the album.
Just listen "Songs like "Unhealthy Dreams", "My Last Temptation" and "Obscurities Whispers"; you'll see what I'm talking about.
Maybe we'll hear more about these guys, I know I do, I'm curious how they'll take the piano instrumentation to the next level! Best of lucks!
