Let's see, I got a Metal Cd with a black & white cover, a two page booklet and a record label called Black Attakk? Now for the million dollar question, what type of Metal the guys of Mord are playing?
If you answered True raw ravendark Black Metal, you're right, but that question was not very though right? Nowadays one of the sub-genres of Metal that more clichés contain, is Black Metal, and that's because the overexploitation of the genre, more bands, less originality, is a simple equation.
In this case we have the typical bad produced true raw Black Metal, while this genre is one of my less favorites, I must say that listening to Mord wasn't a painful experience, as I would thought it to be? and that's weird, because lately I've been experimenting other sides of Metal that have nothing to do with Black Metal, specially the raw one.
I said that this was not a bad experience at all, but it wasn't a good one either, the songs lack originality between each other and the guitars have the same monotonous riffs over and over again, sure it have that cold, martial "in the woods" Black Metal sound, but stakes too much o achieve the desired sound.
I would recommend these for all the True Blacksters out there, if you like your coffee black, and your Metal too, try this one.
