When we are listening to Heavy Metal even a new album, of course it's hard to talk about a real originality in the music, you know like me that some bands already "did" this musical style. That's not a surprise, "Unchained" is not a really original album, but after all who care if it's only a good album of Heavy? And yes, that's a good album of Heavy Metal, but with in addition in the writing process a nice touch of really melodic music. At the end if all the songs sound Heavy Metal evidently, all the tracks are also very melodic, very technical. I could talk about a modern heavy Metal maybe, hard to say but in reason of the quality of the musicians of the band, especially the quality the singer, we have the luck to listen to a really interesting album.
"Unchained" is a mix of all the elements that we want to find in a good album of Heavy. First the music itself, with some really catchy riffs and choruses, great technical guitars solo and a really nice performance by a really good singer. But also, we have something catchy, I mean that all the songs will give to you the feeling that you must sing when you'll be listening to the CD and that's a good point no doubt on it. Also, the album is not really linear, you'll find fast songs but also a really nice ballad, no really you have all that you want in this album.
The production is also very good, no problem with the mixing, and as you can see, the cover by C.A Interactive is really well done, no no that's really good for that point too.
"Unchained" is a really promising first album, that's good to have the luck to listen to Heavy metal sometime. Remember however that we are nearer of a melodic Heavy Metal like the one of an Iron Maiden, than a "true" one like the one of a Manowar, but that good and well done, and I can only recommend to you the first album of the band. Promising really?
