Aren't we all cunts?

I know for a fact that many people think of Grindcore as a genre that takes aggression to the maximum level of brutality. This precept couldn't be more wrong, if Grindcore is brutal per sé, it doesn't have to share the same attributes as, let's say Death Metal. Grindcore is a cultural movement with many variables and many of these variables have nothing to do with Metal.

The variable in which I'll be casting my views has to do with Metal and some other genres as well. Neuropathia surprised me from the get-go with this release, "Satan Is A Cunt" is a fine Grindcore Record from start to finish, songs are catchy yet brutal at parts, sound samples are very well placed and no song gets boring (at least the first half).

You got insane blasting with "Freaks On The Loose", catchy Punk-Rock melodies with "Bad Boys Go To Hell" and even amazing (and catchy) guitar lines in "The Dinner-I Need Meat". Vocals range from your undecipherable low gruff to the pretty understandable growl-scream, drums are relentless at times, but they do know how to set the pace now and then, avoiding the repetitiveness that flood so many Grindcore albums.

The second half of the album contains songs from the band's early split with Vampiric Motives and some covers, not really interesting (the production values are quite poor) but a nice bonus anyway.

Nueropathia really did it this time, the album oozes professionalism, the cover art, production and music is truly something, this album will be the delight of every Grindcore fan out there, so if you like this stuff, don't forget to check this one out, 'cus is totally worth it, besides, Satan Is A Cunt is one of the best album titles I've heard in a while!
