"The Sounds Of Fury" is actually the single (three songs) of the upcoming first album of the Bulgarian Black Metal band Demonism. They will release it through the Bulgarian label Shadowland Music and if all is ok you'll probably have the luck to listen to it in the early 2006.
When I listen to those three songs I find a lot of good things actually. This is a real Black but it's technical too, the intro in a arpeggio mode of the second song "Come Heal My Sorrow" is the perfect proof. The riffs are heavy, the music is dark and the vocals are really aggressive but on the other hand, there are only three songs so it's not really easy to have a good opinion. Though I can tell you something, these guys seem to be really good with their instruments.
But there is a big problem with this single. If the production (I'm talking about the artwork) is really good the recording is less than average and it was a real battle for my ears to listen to all the different numerous sounds, guitar and bass lines. At the end, this average recording is a shame because the band is loosing a lot in my opinion. I know, it's not easy to have a professional recording but let's hope that the band will be able to have at least a better mixing for the album. If they can't do that, it won't pass.
So as you can understand, this is not a bad music but the recording is so average that I think that it will be better for you to wait a bit and see if the album can be better. If it is the case, so it will be a good release of Black Metal. On the other hand I'm sure that some of you, "krieg" fans of "troo" Black Metal don't care of the quality of the sound, so in that case, you can try "The Sounds Of Fury".
