Music Decimation

This album felt like a night with heavy doses of alcohol and drugs. When it's over, you can hardly remember anything, it's all a blur and you begin to question if this really happened.
After I heard this record for the second time, all I could remembers was noise, lots of noise.

Hailing from Pennsylvania in the States, Chainsaw Dissection is a one-man project, he handles vocals, guitars, bass and drumming machine. He identifies himself under the moniker "Bob Macabre", and from now on, Bob.

Bob's band is quite noisy and simple, distorted guitars, pounding drums and undecipherable vocals. To be honest I found it quite simplistic and dull, every song is the same, production values are poor and even the lyrics are your typical cheesy gore lyrics. And please notice that I'm using the words "cheesy" and "gore" in the same sentence, this gotta mean something!

To be honest, the reason why I picked this was because of the awesome artwork, done once more by Mike Hrubovcak, I just love this guy's sick concept art. But since this is self-released, I only got a crappy color photocopy of the artwork.

You might think that I'm bashing Bob's band without no apparent reason, but I was really expecting something more original and listenable here, instead I got noise, noise and more noise.

Even if you're a Grindcore fan, I think you'll find this quite hideous to listen. I don't think I'll ever cross pass again with Bob's band. I hope so.
