Formerly known as Dieas Irae, Utuk Xul finally releases a full length album called The Goat Of The Black Possession and a really raw release indeed, this album is all about being fast as hell and raw as Satan himself.
It all starts with a satanic dude saying all of the demonic names in hell or something, then the second track starts with a really raw sound and a wolf howling while the singer is trying to shriek something, in my humble reviewer opinion this effect instead of sound kult or krieg sounds funny, but anyway, the music will fit everyone who loves all those raw bands that couldn't care less about structures and layered melodies, this shows a band trying to be as necro as the day is long.
The lyrical content is really good, of course this band writes only about Satanism and Lucifer, but they do it in an intelligent way, they don't go around singing about how god sucks cock or whatever, they actually print lyrics with meaning in their own blasphemous way, so that was a plus for the band actually. Another good thing is the production, even though it's actually pretty raw, I think (or I want to think) the band wanted it to be that way, because as far as I can hear, every single instrument sounds loud an clear, but then the overall sound is a little drowned and broke, just like a Darkthrone album in fact.
The album ends with the same guy talking about Satan going like this "Viva Satan, Viva Satan" so you know what this album is trying to transmit right? If you are into this kind of music, go for it, you won't be disappointed that's for sure, the music is good and the message is straight as an arrow, so this might suit a lot of metalheads around the globe looking for a raw black metal experience.
