After the tragic decease of Pete Wells last year, famous guitarist and leader with Angry Anderson, of the Aussie combo Rose Tattoo, a lot of people (me the first) believed that it was the end of this fantastic hard Rock combo. I had the luck to meet Angry some weeks ago, and I can tell you that it's not the end, at the opposite, and in memory of Pete, the band will be stronger than ever and will release soon a new album through Armageddon Music. "Black-Eyed Bruiser", is its first promising single?

Well, I cannot say a lot of things the new album? well just a bit since that I had the luck to listen to it during the interview with Angry. But if you already want to have an idea, you'll be able to listen to a first song through this single "Black-Eyed Bruiser" which is composed of one new song, "Black-Eyed Bruiser" plus three classics of the first eponymous album "Rose Tattoo" recorded live in September 2005 for the concert dedicated in the memory of Pet Wells. The three songs (check the track list for the titles please) are really cool, with a good sound and for sure a real emotion due to the context. It's classic, not really surprising, we already know them after all, but it always really cool to listen to it. "Black-Eyed Bruiser", the new song is really cool too, and if the entire new album follows this direction (as I remember of the quick listening session, yes) it should kick our asses! Pure bluesy Hard Rock as always, with nice lyrics in the pure rock'n'roll spirit it's obvious that "Black-Eyed Bruiser" is a good song and I'm sure too that the fans of the first period of Rose Tattoo will have some nice surprises?

Rose Tattoo is not dead, spread the word my friends! The upcoming album (February 2007) and the tour (probably with Mastreplan and Saxon) will prove that Angry and his mates are still real rock'n'roll outlaws. If you cannot wait and just like Hard Rock, check this single and be prepared for a great return...
