Released in 2007 by a totally unknown label, I tend to believe that only a few metalheads found a way to listen to this album until today. Luckily, Thundering Records thought that it was maybe a good thing to re-release the album and here we are again with this new edition. Sure, Thundering Records is not Nuclear Blast and I doubt that it will be so easy to find this record in all the shops around the world but they usually do a good work of promotion and distribution so with a bit of chance you'll find a way to listen to Eraser! Does it deserve your attention at least? Well, this release is good especially if you like Heavy Metal with big balls, so yes my friends you've probably missed something so the time to repair this mistake is coming!

What I like the most in Eraser is the groove that we can find in the majority of the songs. This is Heavy Metal which means that the riffs are melodic but they're aggressive and groovy and some tracks are clearly influenced by Pantera when some other are a lot more in the vein of the old Arch Enemy. This good mix of melodic Metal with a really cool singer who sings with hoarse voice is coo as hell. Eraser is catchy and features a lot of good hits. Some are fast and even Thrashy like the excellent "Eraser" when some others like "Pain" can be slower but with a cool groove similar to the one that we can find in Stoner. This is varied and the whole album is original and finally this is a band which doesn't copy Iron Maiden or Stratovarius. This is aggressive Heavy Metal and just for that, you should have a look at it!

At first, Revengia was one of Daniel Erlandsson's projects (even if he is not with the band anymore) so you can imagine that the production is really good and that the musicianship of all the members is impressive. Again I think that the voice of Andreas Tomasson is classy because this is not Heavy Metal, not Death too but really hoarsy and aggressive, this is not something that you will listen to in a lot of Heavy Metal projects. My only reproach is that the album maybe sounds too "Swedish" sometime and is a bit too far of the Gothenburg scene but still, this is just a part of the influences and Revengia is not a new In Flames or Arch Enemy.

Eraser is an excellent surprise and I'm happy that Thundering Records decided to re-release this album. If you're into Heavy, Melodic Death, Thrash, well if you like classy music in one word, you should have a look at this album as soon as possible! When you'll have tasted the groove and the anger of Eraser you'll not stop to listen to it!
