Same. Don't need all of it to be like that, but it sure helps. I'm also drawn to minor-key melodies and certain dissonant harmonies. Early Alcest really did have the magic recipe for me.

Ive just been looking into shoegaze recently because I got a ticket for Nothing. Some bands have some nice dreamy melancholic feels but I still feel the need for faded black metal screams and blast beats in the mix.
