Laphroaig quarter cask is the most unfogettable whiskey I've had. If I'd order a whiskey these days it'd likely be an Ardbeg 10 yrs though

Never tested it. Next time when I go to Scotland I will look it up and try it. It fairly new destilery and they mature their whisky for 5 years only. Interesting

I like Laphroaig but the 10 year old is mass produced standard peated single malt. Octomore on the other hand. It's like tasting a bonfire.

Few years ago Japanese distilleries were winning whisky competitions around the world. I had couple of bottles I have to say it was nice. However nothing beats smokey single malt. Laphroaig for example is simply gorgeous
