Long time fan of Stratovarius. I've comprised my best to worst albums in my own opinion. I excluded EPs and live albums to focus on full lengths.
14.
1.
Stratovarius - Visions
1997 Amazing album I can listen to this non-stop start to finish.
14.
2.
Stratovarius - Infinite
2000 One word: Epic.
14.
3.
Stratovarius - Nemesis
2013 I was expecting a successor to Elysium, yet I was blown away by the diversity in this one. These guys are still evolving.
14.
4.
Stratovarius - Fourth Dimension
1995 Enjoyed the universe themes in this one. Makes you imagine deep space.
14.
5.
Stratovarius - Elysium
2011 Stratovarius returning to form. I like the progressive touch and maturing of Timo's voice here. Porra was amazing on bass.
14.
6.
Stratovarius - Destiny
1998 Solid power metal album.
14.
7.
Stratovarius - Polaris
2009 Introduced to new guitarist Matias. He did good, but his style had to grow on me.
14.
8.
Stratovarius - Episode
1996 Kotipelto's singing on this album really shined.
14.
9.
Stratovarius - Elements Part I
2003 The lyrics moved me in this one. But a little too slow to be higher up on the list.
14.
10.
Stratovarius - Elements Part II
2003 Production value at it's best.
14.
11.
Stratovarius - Dreamspace
1994 Diverse album. This one grows on you.
14.
12.
Stratovarius - Twilight Time
1992 A little better than Fright Night. Still not my favorite.
14.
13.
Stratovarius - Fright Night
1989 Ok album, but wasn't a big fan of Tolki singing.
14.
14.
Stratovarius - Stratovarius
2005 Terrible. What were they thinking? Must have been a result from all the drama happening within the band.

Audio quality, originality on songs, performace, they made a match with the name because it's really a bad album.. so bad I almost cried when I first took a moment to damage my ears hearing it... X_X

I agree, this (and Fright Night), though very different in style to the others, are both good albums that deserve higher recognition than what they receive.

This is a very nice list, although I think that Episode and Destiny are far better than Elysium (which I find kinda boring).

I stumbled upon this list again and I'm glad someone thinks Polaris is a great album. I really like that one...
