I don't much about the Chilean rock or metal scene, but I know a prog metal band called Matraz and their album Gritaré from 2004. Solid work.

Wena weon. Somos el mejor pais de Chile. If you haven't heard these bands, I would recommend you the following Chilean acts: Wrathprayer: Pretty chaotic black/death metal with a slight atmospheric edge because of the warm production. De-Solación: Intense and ritualistic death/doom metal. Some wild songwriting on this one. Unaussprechlichen Kulten: Great death metal with a twisted edge to it. The last couple of albums in particular are excellent. LvxCælis: Black metal. I only heard the debut album from 2012 so I have no idea if they are still good. But the debut is awesome. Mournument: Pretty nice death/doom with some folk touches a la Uaral here and there. Concatenatus: Black/doom duo. Takes a lot of sound from Urfaust. Verbum: Another slab of furious death/doom with some black metal influences too. I just noticed that the last 3 bands all feature Alfredo Pérez. Man is that guy busy... In fact, check out his profile here because all the bands he is involved in are pretty cool.

Tenemos el mejor metal de sud america pero el apoyo es minimo Wena compadre there is a mucho paño que cortar, the problem is that there are good bands but the diffusion is minimal and most of the good and unknown bands from Chile are not working. We have the best metal from South America but the support is minimal
