I don't include EPs in my main list, so I thought it'd be a good idea add a few considering there's plenty of awesome music exclusive to EPs that was being ignored.
As for the ratings, each will be the average of the few songs on the EP. I don't do this for normal albums because they have more potential to be 'greater than the sum of all parts'. EPs can do that, but less often I guess.
I'll include some non-metal because I can. Damn, the number one spot's probably gonna be non-metal.

Circus Maximus
- Isolated Chapters
(10/10 - Soundtrack/Ambient - 40mins) The LOTR meme with Aragorn saying "today is not that day" comes to mind when thinking about my Outer Wilds fanboyisms. Prahlow's reprise of the DLC music is nothing short of musical perfection, my favourite group of Outer Wilds tracks, except perhaps the last segment of the OST.

- Songs Of The Dusk
(9.5/10 - Prog - 18mins) Heavy prog and soft prog juxtaposed, both songs are some of this band's best, with "Endgame" being one of my all-time favourite prog tracks with an all-time great solo.

Unleash The Archers
- Explorers
(9.0/10 - Melodeath - 22mins) Almost better than Anno 1696 in its entirety. Some of the best melodies of the modern Insomnium era, in three all-round excellent tracks.

- Atonement Is Nigh
(9.0/10 - Power - 10mins) Both covers, but both fantastic. Not a fan of the band, but they do really well on these songs.

(8.5/10 - Extreme prog/Melodeath - 32mins) An awesome debut for this S-tier band. The long song is incredible, and while not as earth-shattering as the lengthier songs of their proper albums, still has all the attributes that I enjoy so much from this band. Both shorter songs are almost as amazing, they are less riff-heavy. Hearing the opening theme of "Breath Create Beauty" first stated in the closer of this EP is fantastic.

(8.5/10 - Rock - 16mins) A band I was once a way bigger fan of, some of their best songs in this EP. "Hercules" is easily the standout here, with some of the best guitar work in the band's career.

(8.5/10 - Ambient - 52mins) Is it an EP? I don't know man. It doesn't fit on my album list, so it goes here. As far as ambient music goes, this long track has some of the best tonal variation and texture I've heard in this style.
