I'm a Maiden fan, but I've been on Metal Storm for years now. You may not know me, but I've been here. Having just joined the Maiden forum that these guys are coming from a few days ago, I'm seeing both sides of this argument.

To me it does look like a lot of you guys (here) are judging this album without really looking into it. It sounds like you've heard a few tracks and you've made up your mind on the entire album. Attributing to the bad reputation of AMOLAD, it's like you've seen where Maiden are heading and you've basically closed them out from there on, with your opinion of TFF already made up before you even give it a chance. Not only is that alone wrong, but TFF is one of those albums that takes more than one listen to really take in. I'm sure you've all experienced similar albums over the years, especially in the prog genre. In fact, I bet nearly all of you have listened to albums that you've disliked at first, but ended up enjoying later on down the track.

All I ask is that you give TFF that chance. Even if you continue to dislike it, that's fine. And if you don't want to listen to it more than once, that's fine too. I really don't care what you do, just don't bitch about it like it's a sack of crap after one listen. Granted, some albums are just genuinely shit, and don't deserve more than one listen. But TFF isn't one of those albums. Either give it a go, or stop talking all together. Whether this leads to you understanding where the album comes from and accepting it, or whether it leads to you disliking the album and never listening to it again, whatever. I don't care. Just stop bagging it without giving it a chance.

I had it one week before release. And why should I wait until it's officially released if I just want to download it? There is no logic there. I will anyway buy the album soon, but I didn't want to wait for it to be released before I got it. I'm not patient enough when I know that there are 10 Maiden songs I have never heard before available for download.
