When I found out that Vintersorg were going to release a new album so soon after Jordpuls (which I really enjoyed) I got excited but at the same time a bit worried that it would suffer because of this. Luckily though, I can safely say that Orkan did not disappoint. The album continues in the same vein as the previous one with very melodic and catchy songs. The lyrics, which have always been a highlight of the bands music for me, are once again great in a somewhat cheesy yet highly poetic way.

If I had to choose a keyword for Orkan it would be fun, and if there is one kind of music that always manages to cheer me up and make me smile, it is Vintersorg's later stuff. As weird as that may seem...

Exactly how it sounds to me, creates a very jovial atmosphere. Much like Diablo Swing Orchestra's latest, though its different musically, both I found so much fun to listen to.

Beautiful album. Somehow it reminds me of the band's early records.
