When "For Broken Words", Construct's opener, was first previewed, reactions were mixed, to say the least - and that's only natural given the weird, mid-tempo nature of this song. Then we got a classical Dark Tranquillity song ("The Science Of Noise", a future live anthem to be sure), and a mellow song with clean vocals ("Uniformity"). Varied album? Indeed! So, how's the rest? Well, screaming 'masterpîece' is obviously a case of blind fanboyism, but talking about 'pure crap' is totally a prejudiced, off-the-mark vision; as usual (and especially with an album like this one) the answer lies in the silence in between (ah ah).

There's no common point bewteen Amon Amarth and Dark Tranquillity... But so far, the new tracks of Amon Amarth I could listen to didn't impress me anyway... Not looking forward the new album, tho I will also give it a try (guess it shoud leak out any moment now ^^)

what Joe said. Totally generic it does sound but still clearly it sounds as Dark Tranquillity and imo nothing like AMon Amarth

Not very familiar with the band or the genre. Only thing in my collection I can compare it to is Amon Amarth. This album kinda intrigues me, I like the electronica usage!

Rating: 8 Lyrical observation here:

DT in 2005,
"Look at the shell that is you
Empty, fragile, weak
Soon the battle is over
Lost to apathy"

DT in 2013,
"Sometimes I feel
What silence best describes
Sometimes I feel
Apathetic to this life"

What are they trying to say? >:D

Beautiful it is, I think it's the best track on the album, followed by None Becoming, simply due to the impact even though it's a very dark.

What Only You Know stays pretty simple in the song structure, but it's still the best written song if you ask me, really effective and seems to deliver exactly what it was meant to. I love it!

I agree with you on that. And "None Becoming" is another one of the good tracks on the album. Too bad that most of the other songs verge on just okay for me. The album lacks consistency as a whole.

Definitely : ( I think the only way to really enjoy this album is to force yourself to listen to it from beginning to end, or to pick out the two we mentioned in particular. By putting Apathetic and End Time Hearts on skip, I enjoy the entire album a lot. End Time Hearts really isn't that bad, whereas I consider Apathetic simply unbearable. Anyway..
