Guest review by

After some very positive feedback from their last two albums, in particular the brilliant "Since The Day It All Came Down," Insomnium came back with a third album appropriately titled "Above the Weeping World." Now I say appropriately because the album portrays a strong atmosphere of sorrow, and even sometimes delight, achieved through excellent music and meaningful lyrics.

Rating: 8 This is the first I've heard of this band from Finland, and I'm impressed. 'Mortal Share' is my favorite pick.

Rating: 10 It is hard to find right words to describe its beauty, so I won't even try. This is one of few albums which deserves 10 without hesitation. Live long Insomnium and thank you!

Rating: 7 Last Statement's intro sounds like Opeth's Demon Of The Fall?

Great album! Last Statement is incredible!

I agree, it's hands down the best song on the album. Overall a very good album, but not as great as I thought it would be (seeing as it's rated an 8.9).

Rating: 10 This album is just so incredibly good! Best album by this band IMO, though Since The Day It All Came Down is breathing Above The Weeping World in it's neck. Incredible band

I won't ever be able to rate Insomnium's albums over one another but I can definitely say - This album is one of the best albums in music history, it's melodies and lyrics haunt me to the day.
