Biography

Dutch metal band Cilice was formed by members of N3uk!, Orphanage, and Smogus after these bands had been split up. Under the self-proclaimed style of "mad math metal" the band plays music influenced by Meshuggah, The Dillinger Escape Plan and Mike Patton.

As from April 2007 the band has played about 270 shows. Cilice toured Holland, Brazil, UK, Russia, Estonia, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Turkey, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Switzerland, France, and Italy.

In October 2008 the band signed with Dutch label PMM records. The album Deranged Headtrip was released in Europe on February 5th, 2009 and was well-received by the press.
